Warren R. Kirsch

Co-Founder and Director

Warren has experience in technology, biotechnology and business. He holds a bachelors degree in chemistry from M.I.T., a masters in pharmacology and drug research from Stanford, and an MBA from California State University. In the pharmaceutical industry, Warren helped to develop and bring to market Syntex’s second generation oral contraceptives which offered greatly lower side effects. Before Korvata, Warren also served in management roles for Tandem Computers, IBM, Rolm and he was a co-founder and early investor in several startups including Dynamics BV.

W. Davis Lee, Ph.D.

Sr. Director of Engineering and Director

Davis specializes in plasma physics, fluid dynamics, robotics, controls systems, and metrology. He is the inventor on over 100 issued patent and specializes in industrial systems, particle accelerators, proton therapy medical devices and system automation projects. Davis holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Science and Engineering from M.I.T., a Masters in Applied Physics from The Johns Hopkins University, a Masters in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington and a bachelors degrees in physics and mathematics from the University of Mary Washington.

Christian Primack Metcalfe

President

Christian has experience across early stage finance, product marketing, and corporate strategy. Prior to Korvata he served as co-founder of Versive (acquired by eSentire), senior analyst at Atlas Venture, and senior product marketing manager at Isilon Systems (now part of EMC). Christian holds Bachelors degrees in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business (where he also teaches entrepreneurship) , and a Masters in Media Technology from the M.I.T. Media Lab where he was a member of the science team for the 1999 Mt. Everest Millennium Expedition.
